Comments
:Genesect has propelled itself into the top lead/revenge killer of the DW metagame. Though it had not been officially released yet, thus it can only be played in the DW OU metagame.
Its high atk and spec atk + Its wide array of attacks = Weapon of mass destruction.
Equip that mediocre speed with a choice scarf, it becomes the ultimate terminator!
Its defense is not so bad either with 71/95/95 and if not hit with fire type, it usually will be able to take 2 to 4 hits.
Checks and counters
:The main checks are to counter it with fire! Also anything that can take it's attacks and hit back hard!

The basic Lead set. It is designed to take down opponent's lead pokemon. In the past the start of a game is usually about taunt + Setup. Now with Genesect, it attempts to take down the opponents lead with a couple of turns. Thus giving the user the advantage right from the start.

Bug Buzz
Though not as popular, this set is still very viable. This set can counter the first set if faced with a opponent that also uses a genesect as a lead. This set takes advantage of the speed boost that flame gives and/or the special atk boost given by Charge Beam. If calculated and played well, a player has the potential to sweep with this set.
